Don’t Panic About AI Taking Your Job – It’s Just Updating Your Toolkit, Jensen Huang Says / 别慌,AI不会抢走你的工作——黄仁勋说它只是帮你升级工具包
If you’ve ever found yourself scrolling through doomsday headlines about AI replacing white-collar jobs and felt a twist of anxiety in your chest, you’re not alone. But a recent conversation between Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Lex Fridman offers a surprisingly grounded, reassuring take on this widespread fear, one that cuts through a lot of the noise we’ve been hearing about the future of work lately. Huang, who has led the chip giant for 34 years through multiple waves of technological upheaval, has a simple reminder for all of us: we keep mixing up the core purpose of our jobs with the specific tools we use to get them done.

This isn’t just empty optimism from a tech CEO selling AI chips, either. Huang’s argument lines up with what many other business leaders have been observing lately. As he put it plainly at a recent conference: you won’t lose your job to AI, but you might lose it to a person who knows how to use AI better than you do. Airbnb’s Brian Chesky has called AI the best thing that ever happened to his company, and JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon has repeatedly urged workers to stop avoiding the technology and add it to their skill sets instead. All of them are pointing to the same pattern we’ve seen with every major tech shift in the past: tools change, but the human core of most jobs stays intact.
